So who are TEC Partners?
Leigh Howard – Director & Co-founder
Leigh is an experienced technical recruiter, with a specialism in the software development market. Utilising his previous experience of web development, Leigh quickly became the top performing consultant in his previous role, which led to him managing the company’s flagship Cambridgeshire, IT team. Quick to understand a specific requirement, Leigh prides himself on the accuracy of his delivery and his consultative approach, which has led to him forging many strong relationships.
Outside of life at TEC Partners, Leigh is the proud (for some reason) owner of a season ticket at Watford FC, and despite several operations on both his knee and neck, still holds out some hope of ‘making it’ himself.
Paul Kitley – Director & Co-founder
Paul has been in recruitment for nearly 10 years and made his name in the City of London and then Manchester. After the birth of his first child Paul relocated to Norwich and worked his way up to managing one of the largest recruitment teams in East Anglia, taking charge of 40 consultants across a variety of disciplines. Paul is a seasoned technical recruiter himself having recruited in IT for the past number of years.
Away from work Paul has a passion for most sports, most notably football and darts. He also recently completed the London Marathon and raised a substantial sum in sponsorship for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).
Chris Beech – Director & Co-founder
Chris has a wealth of recruitment experience, spanning over 10 years, across a number of technical sectors and geographic regions. Having started in recruitment focusing on I.T., Chris has since devoted himself to the world of Engineering where he has experienced some phenomenal results. Prior to forming TEC Partners, Chris built one of the largest Engineering recruitment functions in the East of England, having started as just himself and one consultant.
Having moved to Norwich from the not-so-sunny Midlands, Chris does have a very distinct ‘Brummie’ tone. His partners hope that this will fade quickly, or they fear their next hire may need to be a translator!
Andrew Bailey – Non-Executive Director & Investor
Andrew has over 23 years’ experience in the technology recruitment sectors and has successfully run his own business since 1999. He’s studied at Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business, is an active mentor and investor, sitting on the board of multiple businesses. As a shareholder and investor in TEC Partners, Andrew sits on the company board, to help advise and steer us with our ambitious growth plans.
When he’s not in the office Andrew can normally be found competing in motorsport, doing triathlons (if he’s not injured himself) or buying cars to add to his collection. He enjoys being part of the team and joining us on nights out, even though he struggles to keep up with us now, though he’d never admit to it!
Dan Benson – Commercial Director
Dan brings 15 years of Recruitment experience to TEC Partners. He is a proven Business Developer with experience of both Permanent and Temporary Recruitment. He has established Master Vendor agreements, RPO’s, Retained Campaigns, On site Assessments as well as Contingent recruitment. He is now responsible for developing new and existing business (UK Wide) for TEC Partners across their offices in Norwich and Henley-on-Thames.
Before starting out in recruitment Dan spent 12 years in the Royal Corp of Signals where he saw Active service in Iraq (Desert Rats), Bosnia (UN) & Northern Ireland.
Dan is a keen Biker and loves his new Honda Fireblade SP, he’s promised us he won’t fall off this one; enough said!
Sahil Bavalia – Head of Infrastructure & Service Delivery
Sahil joins Tec Partners with over 7 years of IT recruitment experience; in which he has proven success in both hands-on and management positions. The Infrastructure, Support & Service Delivery side of the IT Market has always been Sahil’s specialism and the areas in which he has built his success. His technical knowledge along with relationship-focused work ethic allow him to excel in his field.
Outside of work, Sahil can be found on the squash court, rock climbing or out on the golf course where he strives to improve his game….. with varying levels of success!
Tom Gosney – Principal Consultant
Having focused solely on IT recruitment in East Anglia for the past 5 years Tom brings with him a wealth of knowledge and an impressive track record of delivery. His personal approach and strong grasp of technical concepts resulted in swift success in his previous role where he was a consistent top performer. The past few years have seen Tom specialise further in software and web technologies, where he has been able to craft strong client and candidate relationships.
Outside of the office Tom is an avid sportsman and outdoor enthusiast, never happier than when he’s up a mountain, sat by a lake or running round a field. As the token Northerner he fits many well known stereotypes, including his love of pies, gravy and Sean Bean.
Rob Beaumont – Consultant
Rob joined TEC Partners already possessing great experience of the recruitment industry across various sectors. He has a great eye for detail, and places a real emphasis on the service he provides to both clients and candidates. A keen sportsman, Rob spends most of his weekends playing Rugby and Cricket and he brings this competitive nature to the workplace too.
Rob, another of our follicly challenged consultants blames a seemingly rapid case of hair loss on the stress of working in recruitment. However, labelled Tintin since childhood, it seems “Tinners” has been struggling with the condition for far longer.
Will Minchin – Consultant
Will joined TEC Partners having already gained valuable exposure to the world of technical recruitment; possessing experience of both the IT and Technical Engineering sectors. Will’s professionalism always shines through and his delivery focused approach coupled with his desire to be the best, perfectly befits our ethos here at TEC Partners.
Will is a rather able sportsman who loves a game of Cricket or participating in the odd Triathlon, but unfortunately for the rest of us, he’s an excellent golfer (we’d offer a free round of golf to any clients brave enough to challenge Will to a game!).
Matt Jones – Consultant
Matt joined TEC Partners after a successful introduction to the world of recruitment, helping clients source great talent in the accountancy and finance sectors. Having built key relationships with local clients, Matt has gained valuable experience in consulting candidates and clients alike, and his approach is perfectly suited to the technical markets too.
Matt, is quite literally the rock star of the team, having toured across America supporting the likes of Alice Cooper, Motley Crue and Kiss. The long hair may have gone, but we’re led to believe the voice is still fully intact (we’re sure Matt is open to requests, so don’t hesitate to ask)!
Jonny Percival – Senior Consultant
Jonny is an experienced and successful technical recruiter who has always specialised in IT Support & Business Change/Transformation. Jonny’s experience in recruitment started as a Contract only consultant before moving onto a dual-desk, assisting permanent candidates too. Jonny is passionate about helping companies achieve success by sourcing them the right people and creating long term relationships.
Outside of work Jonny enjoys playing bass for a local function band at the weekends playing pubs, clubs, special events and weddings!
Max Hutchings – Consultant
Max joined TEC Partners upon returning to Norwich from the ‘big smoke’. It was in London that Max gained some invaluable recruitment experience and proved a real success, focusing on the contract IT market. An honest and reliable approach, mixed with an intense competitive streak, has enabled Max to build and maintain key relationships with candidates and clients alike.
Out of work Max can be found signing (well, chanting) Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian songs. With a passion for sports, Max enjoys athletics, rowing, football, basketball and watching his beloved Chelsea.
Tom Postle – Senior Consultant
Having built a successful career in recruitment, Tom joins TEC partners as a seasoned Senior Recruiter. He has concentrated on Software development in Cambridge for the past 4 years and during that time has built strong, long lasting relations with both clients and candidates alike. He is known for his knowledge of the Cambridge market, being able to match candidates with their perfect opportunity, with a variety of suitable opportunities to present them with.
Tom is one of East Anglia’s tallest recruiters and clients are always surprised when he turns up for a meeting. Outside of work he can be found enjoying his pride and joy, his Audi A5, taking advantage of Norfolk’s winding country roads!
Naseem Touhami – Delivery Consultant
Naseem joins TEC Partners having graduated with a First Class degree. He has made a fantastic start to life in recruitment, demonstrating a great eye for detail and his accuracy is already an obvious strength. He is a highly driven and competitive consultant who we fully expect to advance quickly through the business, and break plenty of records along the way.
Naseem is almost undoubtedly the most intelligent man at TEC Partners, which isn’t necessarily too difficult, but with a 1st Class degree in Mathematics he certainly knows his figures. The one decision that brings his intelligence into question is his support of Norwich City!
Martin Bicknell – Finance Director
Following a career change 6 years ago Martin embarked upon accountancy training. With his final ACCA exams looming he finds himself responsible for the financial functions of a group of companies including TEC Partners. In addition to overseeing the smooth running of the day to day finances Martin also applies his knowledge and many years business experience to analysis and modelling to enable the board to make the right tactical decisions.
For relaxation away from the figures Martin enjoys an evening out seeing one of his favourite bands playing, taking comfort from the fact that he’s not the oldest one in the crowd!
Pat Francisco – Finance Specialist
After 3 successful years in a recruitment consultancy finance department Pat is in the final stages of his AAT training and will soon be fully qualified. He has progressed from the basic book keeping through to managing the complexities of the contractor side of the business ensuring that both clients and contractors are happy and that the cash keeps flowing in the right direction.
When he’s not juggling the numbers Pat can be found on the dance-floor where the ladies get the benefit of his dexterity at the local salsa club.
