Join our client at a leading manufacturing facility near Hitchin, who are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to be a part of their forward thinking business.
Hours: Full-time, 41.5 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
- Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
- Overtime available
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize manual milling machines, lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders.
- Operate manual and CNC spark eroders, as well as CNC wire eroders.
- Perform modification and repair tasks on Injection Mould Tools.
- Manufacture and fit new injection mould tools.
- Use hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders.
- Wire Hot runner systems and conduct fault finding.
- Work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in Toolmaking and high precision machining.
- Familiarity with fitting and assembly of complex mould tools, including repair.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a small team.
- Proficiency in general toolmaking, milling, grinding, and fitting.
- Experience with EDM Wire and spark erosion, CNC Machining skills are advantageous.
