Job Title: Elasticsearch Platform Engineer

Salary Range: £77,000 - £116,000 + Benefits

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Design and deploy scalable Elasticsearch solutions for Observability and Search use cases.
- Implement robust security, privacy, and compliance controls across Elasticsearch systems.
- Optimise system configurations and queries to enhance performance and reduce latency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Development) to integrate and support Elasticsearch across the wider ecosystem.
- Drive innovation and automation to improve platform efficiency and maintainability.
Experience Required:
- Deep knowledge of Elasticsearch architecture, APIs, and components.
- Experience in deploying and supporting ECE in production environments.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and data compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proficient in scripting/automation using Python, Bash, or Ansible.
- Comfortable working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a collaborative approach.
- Bonus: Experience with Cloudera, Hadoop, CDSW, or CML is a plus.
