Business Development and Capture Manager
Location: Cheltenham or London, United Kingdom
Clearance: UK Security Check (SC) required
Travel: Up to 25%

Overview:
An experienced Business Development and Capture Manager is required to drive growth within the Cyber & Intelligence sector. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role will lead the identification, qualification, development, and execution of capture strategies to secure new business opportunities within the defence, security, and government industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead capture management activities across assigned opportunities, ensuring effective qualification and pursuit.

  • Develop and execute compelling, cost-effective capture plans that maximize the probability of win (Pwin).

  • Collaborate with business operations and cross-functional teams to align resource planning and manage expenditures during capture pursuits.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external industrial partners to enhance capture success.

  • Prepare and present business cases to justify investment decisions supporting business growth.

  • Lead or participate in pursuit qualification, capture, and proposal activities as required.

  • Contribute to the overall growth strategy development for the Cyber & Intelligence business.

  • Support regular business development pipeline reviews and reporting.

  • Ensure synergy across opportunities and markets by working closely with the wider Business Development & Capture (BD&C) team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, capture management, or sales within defence, security, or government sectors.

  • Proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and winning new business opportunities.

  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing capture strategies and plans.

  • Experience working with complex, high-value technology or software solutions in cyber or intelligence is preferred.

  • Formal capture training, such as Shipley Associates Business Development, is advantageous.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • UK citizenship is mandatory.
