Overview
We're seeking an experienced Contract Quality Engineer to lead PPAP activities within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is focused exclusively on the preparation, submission, and approval of PPAP documentation in compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, coordination, and submission of full PPAP documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Process Capability Studies, and PSWs.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and customer teams to ensure PPAP approval to required aerospace standards.
- Validate manufacturing processes and ensure readiness for production release.
- Manage and support FAI (AS9102) and APQP/AS9145 deliverables related to PPAP.
- Drive data accuracy, traceability, and compliance across all quality records.
- Provide technical support on PPAP and related quality documentation throughout the contract period.
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record delivering PPAPs within aerospace or precision engineering sectors.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D, APQP, and AS9145.
- Hands-on experience with PFMEA, MSA, SPC, and process validation.
- Confident working independently to tight deadlines and customer milestones.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation control.
