A well-established engineering company is seeking a Site Supervisor to join their Installation & Operations team. This role involves regular UK-wide travel and staying away from home Monday to Friday, so it's ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, field-based position and can confidently lead site teams while maintaining high safety standards.

The successful candidate will take ownership of on-site activities, supervise operatives, and ensure all documentation and procedures are followed correctly, working closely with clients and internal project teams.

The Role

As a Site Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and supervise site teams, including subcontractors, ensuring safe working practices at all times
  • Take full responsibility for on-site phases of assigned projects
  • Prepare for mobilisation, including tools, vehicles, equipment and pre-start briefings
  • Work hands-on while coordinating day-to-day activities with the client's site manager
  • Complete all required on-site documentation (RAMS, permits, ITPs, confined space plans, HAVS checks, site diaries)
  • Report progress, issues and delays to internal managers
  • Ensure work remains within the agreed scope, recording any changes or challenges
  • Travel across the UK and Ireland Monday-Friday with regular overnight stays

Essential Requirements

  • Mechanical fitting experience with confidence using tools and equipment
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
  • Previous site supervision experience
  • Ability to multitask and work proactively under pressure
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work and outdoor conditions
  • Willingness to work away overnight Monday-Friday
  • Full UK driving licence
