Technical Support Specialist

About the Role:

Join our team as a Technical Support Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in providing expert assistance across our range of chemistry products. Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, this position encompasses three primary areas: Technical Support, Custom Quotation, and R&D Application Testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

  • Delivering technical support via phone, email, and online channels to end-users, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Assisting with pre-sale product selection and specifications.
  • Handling post-sale inquiries, including installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and QA teams to address technical equipment challenges.
  • Providing technical guidance to the Marketing department for content creation.

Custom Quotation:

  • Liaising with end-users, distributors, and sales teams to understand customized requirements.
  • Generating and sending detailed quotations with cost breakdowns and technical specifications.
  • Following up on quotations and monitoring quote metrics.
  • Managing custom orders, including coordinating manufacturing and conducting pre-delivery checks.

R&D and Application Testing:

  • Conducting prototype testing, debugging, and performance evaluations.
  • Producing comprehensive test reports and sharing findings with the team.
  • Supporting customer queries and resolving technical issues related to product applications.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Educational background in a scientific field, such as a degree in chemistry, physical sciences, or equivalent lab experience.
  • Previous experience in a technical support role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
