Location: Ipswich or Cardiff (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Job Overview:
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be a critical link between our IT and business teams, helping to ensure that our technical solutions meet the evolving needs of the business. Your strong SQL skills will be essential in analyzing, managing, and interpreting data to help drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to develop and enhance IT systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving business operations through technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business and functional requirement documents.
  • Analyze data using SQL to support decision-making, including data extraction, validation, and reporting.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to implement solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are met.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to communicate project progress and address any issues.
  • Identify areas of improvement within existing IT systems and propose innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (ability to write complex queries, data manipulation, and report generation).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools or data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
