Service Desk Engineer

We're supporting a local business in their search for a Service Desk Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working both independently and in a collaborative team, and is passionate about continuous learning. This role offers a mix of occasional on-site visits and a wide variety of hands-on experience supporting modern business systems.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and supporting small to mid-sized business networks (including VLANs and wireless networks).
- Providing remote and on-site technical support for Windows and macOS.
- Installing and configuring Office 365 and Azure environments, including migrations and routine maintenance.
- Managing DNS, DHCP, and network folder permissions.
- Supporting and maintaining both server and workstation hardware.
- Occasionally travelling to client sites (a full UK driving licence is essential).
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills - able to support users clearly and professionally.
- Self-sufficient and organised - comfortable managing tasks solo or as part of a team.
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and macOS.
- Experience installing and supporting Office 365, Azure, and Exchange.
- Managing DNS, DHCP, folder security, and permissions.
- Knowledge of Server and hardware support and configuration.
- Full UK driving licence
