We're seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer in Berlin (on-site) to join our small & fast-moving team. You'd own large parts of our Data Pipeline & ML Services which are built with Python & FastAPI while leveraging OpenAI Services from Azure.

About the Role
As a Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you'll own large part of our ML services and complete a team of 3 highly-skilled ML Engineers. You'll make key technical decisions to optimize for speed of iteration, data quality and model performance.What you will be working on:
- Developing our core data pipelines & ML services.
- Owning ML-based features end-to-end from the first prototype to the final delivery.
- Balancing high-quality & performant code while shipping quickly.
- Contributing to product strategy and roadmap planning.
- Driving technical decisions across our ML stack.
What we are looking for?
- Experienced ML Engineer with strong data science & python skills.
- Proven track record of shipping ML-based products in a fast-paced environments, ideally from the earliest stages.
- Ability to ship quickly and breaking down complex problems into small & modular solutions.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities & communication skills.
- Passion for our mission and excitement about revolutionizing an old-school industry with AI.
Bonus points for experience with:
- Document-based data pipelines.
- Natural Language Processing.
- Web scraping.
- Startups, especially in founding roles.
- The life sciences or regulatory compliance sectors
