Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Remote/Hybrid

We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our fast-growing AI start-up, REMATIQ. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, building, and scaling machine learning systems that drive impactful innovation in the industry.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models into production.
  • Build and optimize scalable and efficient machine learning pipelines for data processing, model training, and deployment.
  • Lead efforts in identifying, implementing, and validating the best algorithms and techniques for solving business challenges.
  • Take ownership of model performance, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on advancements in machine learning, MLOps, and related technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices in model lifecycle management, including reproducibility and version control.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role, with expertise in Python.
  • Strong track record of delivering production-grade machine learning systems, including model deployment and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following areas:
    • Data Science: Advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and insights generation.
    • MLOps: Building robust CI/CD pipelines for machine learning workflows and automation.
    • Large Language Models (LLMs): Fine-tuning, training, or deploying state-of-the-art transformer-based models.
    • Natural Language Processing (NLP): Developing applications like text classification, summarization, or entity recognition.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with scalable data storage and processing systems (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, or similar).
  • Passion for leveraging AI to revolutionize regulatory affairs.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working in early-stage start-ups
  • Familiarity with regulatory affairs or compliance-related applications.
  • Contributions to open-source machine learning projects.
  • Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong software engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
