Overview
We are looking for a Database Developer to join a growing technology team, with responsibility for creating and maintaining high-performing database systems. You will play a key role in ensuring that data is well-structured, secure, and accessible, supporting business decision-making and future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing database structures, stored procedures, and applications.
- Improving system efficiency through query tuning and performance monitoring.
- Developing and supporting ETL pipelines to bring data together from a variety of sources.
- Safeguarding data accuracy and integrity through quality controls and validation.
- Managing database security, backups, and recovery processes.
- Producing clear technical documentation to support ongoing use and future development.
Key Requirements
- Strong SQL skills and experience with database management systems.
- Proficiency in tools such as SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and advanced Excel.
- Understanding of best practices in database design and optimisation.
- A logical and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively across teams.
