Senior TypeScript UI Developer (FTC)

Salary: £65,000
Contract: 18 months
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Atherstone, Warwickshire (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite for onboarding, then 1-2 days per month. Remote may be considered)

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior TypeScript UI Developer to join a leading games studio and contribute to high-profile, large-scale projects enjoyed by millions of players worldwide. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and artists to develop core UI features, extend the UI toolchain, and deliver performant, accessible, and visually striking interfaces.

This role is ideal for a developer with strong coding foundations who thrives in collaborative, creative environments and enjoys tackling complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, web-based UI solutions for major gaming projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging player experiences.
  • Optimise performance, minimise technical debt, and support robust engineering practices.
  • Champion quality through code reviews, testing, and modern development approaches.
  • Contribute to the wider engineering culture with fresh ideas and continuous improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns, MVC/MVVM, and object-oriented design.
  • Skilled in CSS (including preprocessors like PostCSS).
  • Experience with accessibility requirements and multilingual product development.
  • Familiarity with unit testing (e.g. Jasmine) and performance profiling.
  • Strong coding background (not a design-focused role).
