Job Title: Project Manager - Digital Forensics
Contract Length: 7 months
Location: Remote with occasional travel (with prior notice)
Rate: Up to £600 per day (Umbrella)

A leading public sector body is looking for a Project Manager with expertise in digital forensics to scope and develop a business case for the creation of an internal Digital Forensics Unit.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will play a key role in shaping the organisation's digital forensics capability. Responsibilities will include:
- Assessing current and future digital forensics requirements.
- Identifying the equipment, accreditation, and staffing needed for a dedicated unit.
- Conducting a cost-benefit analysis of potential options compared to current arrangements.
- Building relationships with law enforcement and partner agencies on digital forensics matters.
- Managing the existing digital forensics contract to ensure it is effective and fit for purpose.
- Supporting the development of policies and procedures for the capture and storage of digital evidence.
- Monitoring developments, legislation, and best practice to inform senior leaders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven Project Management experience within digital forensics (e.g. Police, MOD, NCA).
- Up-to-date knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 and Forensic Science Regulator accreditation.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects.
- Strong multi-agency and partnership working skills.
- Ability to research, analyse and present findings in multiple formats for varied audiences.
- Experience in horizon scanning and identifying emerging issues in digital forensics.
