CNC Turner Setter Operator & CNC Miller Setter Operator - Aerospace
Location: South West UK (On-site)
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 + benefits
I'm currently supporting a leading aerospace precision engineering company who are looking for CNC Setter Operators (both Turning and Milling) to join their growing team. These are full-time, permanent positions offering excellent job security and development opportunities.
The Role:
- For CNC Turning: Set and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
- For CNC Milling: Set and operate 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls.
- Produce high-complexity aerospace components to tight tolerances across a variety of materials.
- Ensure parts meet quality and customer specifications at all times.
- Work to planned set/run times and support continuous improvement.
- Use a range of manual inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, plug gauges) to check work.
- Ensure all route cards, drawings, and materials are followed correctly.
- Participate in SQDCP and progress meetings, contributing to quality and process improvements.
- Support delivery schedule adherence, ensuring work is completed on time and in full.
What You'll Need:
- Experience setting and operating CNC machines (Turning with Fanuc / Milling with Heidenhain).
- Strong background in producing complex precision components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
- Hands-on inspection skills using micrometers, verniers, and other measuring tools.
- Good understanding of quality standards within precision/aerospace engineering.
- Aerospace experience (desirable but not essential).
Hours & Benefits:
- 37 hours per week (Mon-Thu 07:30-16:00, Fri 07:30-12:30).
