Facility Supervisor - 12 Month Contract
Location: Thurso (Full Time Onsite)
Rate: £25.86 - £40.46 per hour Umbrella
IR35: In Scope
A great opportunity has arisen for two Facility Supervisors to join a leading organisation at their Dounreay site. The successful candidates will play a key role within Site Services, overseeing operations and maintenance activities in the Dounreay Cementation Plant (DCP).
Key Responsibilities
Supervise work within the complex, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in line with procedures
Review and prepare safe system of work documentation
Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all areas
Participate in work scope and hazard reviews, work scheduling, and coordination
Report and investigate abnormal conditions, incidents, and equipment failures, taking appropriate action to protect personnel and the environment
Carry out Management Authorisations relevant to the post (e.g. Permit to Work Issuer, Radiation Protection Supervisor, Lift Supervisor, Radioactive Materials Coordinator, Risk Assessor, Project Supervisor, FCA Building Warden)
Line manage and support staff within the facility
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a similar supervisory or operational role within a highly regulated environment
Strong organisational and planning abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Positive, proactive, and self-motivated approach
Relevant site and plant operation knowledge
Contract Length: 12 months
Working Pattern: Full time, on-site in Thurso
