Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Enfield, North London
Salary: Up to £65,000

The Opportunity
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll take ownership of full lifecycle systems activities - defining requirements, integrating subsystems, validating performance, and ensuring robust delivery. You'll work alongside multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to both technical excellence and project outcomes, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and influence design decisions.
This is a hands-on, technically rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and seeing their designs through to successful implementation.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in systems design, integration and testing across multi-technology environments
- A strong understanding of engineering lifecycles, from concept to in-service support
- Broad technical awareness across software, mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with internal teams and customers
- Degree-qualified in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- UK driving licence and eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to Radar, Radio, or Navigation Systems
- Knowledge of Defence or Maritime platforms
- Familiarity with communication protocols (RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, CANBus)
- Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters or spectrum analysers
- Understanding of verification standards (MIL-STD, Def Stan, IEC)
