Job Title: Configuration Controller
Location: Enfield
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + benefits
TEC Partners are recruiting a Configuration Controller on behalf of a leading defence technology and engineering company based in Enfield. This is a key role within a high-precision environment, responsible for maintaining the integrity of technical data, managing configuration control processes, and supporting continuous improvement across the business.
This position is ideal for someone from an engineering background who has a keen eye for detail, strong technical understanding, and confidence working with ERP systems. You'll take ownership of configuration and change control, ensuring documentation accuracy, quality compliance, and full traceability of engineering data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the release and change control of technical data within the ERP system
- Maintain and update engineering part structures, BOMs, drawings, documents, and software records.
- Develop, implement, and improve configuration management processes and related documentation.
- Support ERP system enhancements and QMS (Quality Management System) activities.
- Produce configuration management plans for new bids, proposals, and active projects.
Requirements:
- Engineering background (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or similar).
- Proven experience in configuration management or control, ideally within defence, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (IFS Cloud or SAP preferred).
- Strong documentation, organisation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and configuration control principles advantageous.
Due to the nature of the business, the successful candidate must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance, therefore British citizenship is required.
The role is also initially office based 5 days per week in Enfield.
