We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for an exciting 6-month project based in Norwich. This is a high-profile, large-scale project, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge engineering systems.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6 months

  • Location: Norwich

  • IR35: Outside

  • Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of vessel systems and pressure systems

  • Preparation of mechanical design reports, calculations, and FEA analysis

  • Design and fabrication of sheet metal components

  • Work closely with the project team to ensure designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements

  • Provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in mechanical design for vessel/pressure systems

  • Proficient in SolidWorks

  • Strong background in FEA analysis, design calculations, and reporting

  • Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication

  • Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
