What you'll be doing
- Leading the Configuration Engineering function across multiple delivery teams
- Managing and mentoring a small team of engineers, helping to shape best practice
- Acting as the Configuration lead on technically complex defence programmes
- Driving improvements in tooling, processes and documentation standards
- Representing Configuration Engineering at project and functional leadership level
- Ensuring configuration data, change control and system traceability is always maintained
What you'll bring
- A background in engineering or configuration management, ideally within defence, aerospace or other regulated sectors
- Experience working with configuration standards such as DEF-STAN 05-057 or similar
- Confidence leading small teams and influencing across a broader engineering function
- A structured and pragmatic approach to governance, compliance and delivery
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
