CMM Programmer
Location: Near Cambridge
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE
We're recruiting for an experienced CMM Programmer to join a precision engineering business based near Cambridge. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for someone with strong inspection capability and proven CMM programming experience.
This role would suit a detail-focused quality professional who takes pride in delivering accurate inspection results and supporting high manufacturing standards.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspection of precision components and programming CMM equipment to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CMM equipment to inspect precision components
- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspection
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Produce accurate inspection reports and quality documentation
- Identify non-conformances and support corrective action processes
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
- Support internal and external audits where required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in CMM programming (essential)
- Experience using Keyence measurement systems (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Previous experience within aerospace manufacturing advantageous but not essential
- Confident using inspection equipment and completing quality reports
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
