International Field Service / EHS Specialist
Location: Field-Based - Europe
Salary: €5,000 - €6,000 per month
Contract: Full-Time
We are recruiting for an experienced International Field Service / EHS Specialist to support projects across the Biogas, Food & Beverage, and Carbon Capture sectors.
This is a field-based role, requiring regular travel across Europe. Approximately 5% of travel may be outside Europe from time to time, but the majority of work will be European-based.
Candidates must be based in Europe and hold a permanent right to work within Europe, as visa sponsorship is not available.
The Role
As the Field Service / EHS Specialist, you will lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across active project sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across field operations.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to integrate EHS considerations into electrical power operations and system testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and site programs
- Deliver EHS training to employees, contractors, and site teams
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments across European project locations
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and industry best practice
- Provide EHS input into electrical power operations and functional system testing
- Support lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and electrical hazard controls
- Manage EHS reporting, documentation, and regulatory submissions
- Monitor evolving EHS regulations and proactively implement improvements
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across field teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in EHS roles within field service, heavy industry, energy, or related sectors
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and electrical safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, EPA or equivalent European frameworks)
- Knowledge of the Dutch VCA program
- Solid understanding of electrical safety principles including lockout/tagout and arc flash controls
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience using EHS management systems and reporting tools
- Professional certifications such as CSP or equivalent are advantageous

- Must be willing and able to travel extensively across Europe
- Approximately 5% international travel outside Europe may be required
